Reiner Derdau
As a documentary film maker Reiner Derdau has Co-directed and Co-produced the one hour Documentary “A Car For A Dollar”, which has sold to seven European Countries and recently, the Documentary channel of CBC Canada.
Previously Reiner Co-produced and Co-directed “Ozone and the Politics of Medicine“. It won four awards including an honourable mention by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Los Angeles, as one of the best in its year.
As a writer, Reiner developed the story for a feature script, “One Man Chase” and recently completed a feature screen play. He has also written a Pilot episode for a science fiction television series and has researched and written a number of documentaries. Reiner Derdau wrote and directed a series of groundbreaking media awareness TV ads for Adbusters Magazine, which were the first of their kind to gain access to both Canadian television networks CBC and CTV.
Reiner Derdau’s background includes mixing sound live and in the studio. He holds a Bachelors degree in Film and Television from the University of British Columbia.
